Do you have a prayer closet or a prayer space? I created my first official prayer closet that I called "my vision room". In this sacred place is where I discovered "the secret place". A place of close intimacy with God. Daniel had his "upper room" where he went to pray "Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God..." Daniel 6:10 I would love to reclaim the practice of writing in my secret place with God. There's something so sacred and beautiful about talking to God through writing. I used to be stuck in the mud, thought it was safe, thought it was love Thought it would save me from the void of not good enough When I reached the part where I was tired of dodging enemy darts Ran so fast I ran out of ammo I knew where to land though God looked at me as I looked at Him He listened to me as I cried through a heart-written hymn I didn’t deny and laid it out on the altar My closet a womb where my soul began to alter
