Do you have a prayer closet or a prayer space?
I created my first official prayer closet that I called "my vision room".
In this sacred place is where I discovered "the secret place". A place of close intimacy with God.
Daniel had his "upper room" where he went to pray "Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God..."

I would love to reclaim the practice of writing in my secret place with God. There's something so sacred and beautiful about talking to God through writing.

Letting the enemy whisper lies in your head all day
Are you going to walk away from who you’re meant to be?
Are you going to let God reach in, heal, reveal what He already sees?
I used to be stuck in the mud, thought it was safe, thought it was love
Thought it would save me from the void of not good enough
When I reached the part where I was tired of dodging enemy darts
Ran so fast I ran out of ammo
I knew where to land though
God looked at me as I looked at Him
He listened to me as I cried through a heart-written hymn
I didn’t deny and laid it out on the altar
My closet a womb where my soul began to alter
